Five non-domestic COVID-19 cases reported in Kingdom, says Jaber
Five COVID-19 infections were recorded in the Kingdom Wednesday, non of which had been locally transmitted, according to Minister of Health Saad Jaber.
Jaber said that 4 of the newly recorded cases are for patients who had come from Saudi Arabia. Also, a truck driver tested positive at the eastern Al-Omari crossing border with Saudi Arabia, bringing the caseload to 1187.
On the government’s effort to stem the spread of the novel and highly contagious coronavirus, Jaber said that 7,715 tests were conducted today as the tally tops 585,469, adding that 7 patients recovered today.
As parliamentary elections near, Jaber told journalists that all possibilities had been discussed to address any epidemiological developments.
