European Film Festival to opens on Thursday
Amman, The 31st edition of the European Film Festival will open in Amman on Thursday (Sept. 12) and run through September 22, during which 22 award-winning European films will be put on display.
Organizers of the European Union-funded event held a press conference on Monday to highlight the activities and workshops the festival will feature. The festival is co-organized by the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), the Royal Film Commission and the Greater Amman Municipality.
The festival will also feature music and dance performances, short film competition, mobile film competition, workshops, master-classes, talks with European film makers, producers & actors, receptions hosted by European Embassies and an exclusive opening party, all free of charge or upon invitation.
Most of the films and activities at the event will be held at the Al-Hussein Cultural Center in Ras Al Ain in downtown Amman while the closing and opening ceremonies will be held at the Royal Film Commission.
