Energy minister attends opening of World Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Hala Zawati, attended the opening of the 24th World Energy Congress, which kicked off in Abu Dhabi with the participation of a galaxy of Arab and foreign experts and specialists.
The conference, which will runs until September 12, aims to develop a roadmap for the future of global energy, through more than 80 panel discussions focusing on traditional energy and renewables.
In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Minister Zawati stressed the importance of Jordanian participation in this conference, which discusses creative technology in the energy sector.
Zawati described the conference as “the most important international gathering to discuss the future of energy, address energy challenges and propose solutions,” adding that the event offers “an opportunity to showcase the Jordanian experiences and discuss potential cooperation opportunities with other countries, international institutions.”
The conference, which will be attended by 72 ministers and 500 CEOs at major international energy institutions, will be an important platform for presenting opportunities for energy investments in Jordan, the minister added.
