The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation underlined Thursday that “IRADA,” a program that aims to boost economic and social productivity, is still offering its services for free.
The program provides technical and consultative support, training and quality support, in addition to conducting economic viability studies for small and mid-size enterprises.
Responding to Petra’s inquires, the ministry said that the IRADA employees are contracted by the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), not the ministry, noting that the ministry’s role is limited to financing the program’s services in accordance with an agreement signed with the RSS.
The IRADA program was launched in 2002 in implementation of a royal vision to address development challenges. The program aims at enhancing citizens’ productivity, promoting investment and self-employment and helping them build small- and medium-sized enterprises and home-based businesses, in addition to providing post-launch technical and consultative support to ensure their sustainability.
