The government Wednesday submitted the legal reasoning for an amendment to the Jordanian Penal Code that abolishes article 308 of the Code which had pardoned a rapist if he married his victim.
The amendment to the draft law had been submitted to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau, Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Ibrahim Jazi said in a press statement.
