Deputy Dubai ruler meets Senate president
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, received yesterday President of the Senate Faisal Al-Fayez here in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Hamdan directed Al Maktoum Foundation for Charitable Action to support small and medium enterprises in Jordan that contribute to employment of young men and women, in addition to backing all relevant initiatives.
During the meeting, Al-Fayez lauded the high level of Jordanian-Emirati relations in the various political, economic and social fields as ” historical and based on mutual respect” and serve the common interests of both peoples and brotherly countries.
Al-Fayez also appreciated Sheikh Hamdan’s continuous guidance to support projects and initiatives of youth in Jordan.
In turn, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Al Maktoum Foundation, Mirza Al-Sayegh, who attended the meeting, said Sheikh Hamdan’s directives to support projects targeting young people in Jordan stem from the longstanding brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries.
Al-Sayegh added the foundation’s work in Jordan will expand as a joint Jordanian-Jordanian joint committee will be forged to discuss initiatives and micro-projects needed by Jordan, a move aimed to approve and implement relevant enterprises according to priority and need.
“The Al Maktoum Foundation for Charitable Action has a robust orientation to support projects and initiatives in Jordan,” said Salem Al Qaisi, a member of the Jordanian-Emirati Aid Committee.
The meeting was attended by Jordanian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Jumaa Al-Abbadi and Jordanian Consul in Dubai, Saied Al-Radaideh.
