A United Nations (UN) report said that the demolition or confiscation of Palestinian facilities by the Israeli occupation authorities increased by 21 percent in the first nine months of this year compared to the same period in 2020, as the number of displaced increased by 28 percent.
About 311 facilities (56 percent of all targeted buildings in Area A) have been confiscated since the beginning of this year until September, either without warning, or by giving the owners a short-term deadline, using several military orders that prevent people from being able to object to the decision, while three facilities were demolished in Area C, and a renewed warning was issued against a school funded by the European Union, said the report issued Monday by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and dealt with the policy of demolishing or confiscating Palestinian property and facilities until September.
