DCSP links Jordan’s embassies in Rome, Madrid with its e-services

The Department of Civil Status and Passports (DCSP) announced Jordanian embassies in Madrid and Rome, are now electronically linked with DCSP e-service platform to issue, renew, or replace lost or damaged passports.

Carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, the DCSP’s Director, Fahd Amoush, said the online project provides access to Jordanian citizens residing in Italy and Spain to receive passport services electronically at the Jordanian embassy located in Madrid and Rome.

The passport applications will be checked by the DCSP to issue the necessary approvals, which will be sent to the two embassies electronically to complete procedures to issue passports, he told “Petra” on Thursday.

This e-service in those two countries came as a continuation of the DCSP’s e-transformation project to serve citizens abroad, he noted.

To date, he said more than 20 Jordanian embassies and consulates have been electronically linked with the DCSP.

On feasibility of the DCSP’s online project, he said the newly-launched e-service will expedite procedures to issue passports and spare Jordanian citizens’ efforts abroad.
