COVID kills 24 in Jordan, positive tests at 9.4 percent

COVID-19 killed 24 in Jordan in the last 24 hours, as the death toll stands at 11,608 and some of 4,977 cases were recorded, pushing the caseload to some 953,940, according to the health ministry.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a press statement Tuesday that 9.44 percent of the 52,745 tests conducted today came back positive.

It said 150 people had recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 195 others were admitted, as the total number of COVID-19 patients receiving medical treatment in hospitals hit 1,064.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom hovers around 55,260, it added.

Some 887,070 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
