Covid-19 cases top 70 thousand in U.S.

For the 2nd consecutive day, the US has recorded more than 70,000 new coronavirus cases in a 24-hour period, according to a tally maintained by Johns Hopkins University.
The world’s hardest-hit country registered 73, 800 infections, with 1,150 additional deaths, the Baltimore-based university’s real-time tracker said.
To date, this brings the country’s total caseload to 4.1, with death toll hitting 145,00 fatalities.
For the past 11 days, the number of new cases being reported daily has topped 60,000.
