Coronavirus death toll in China reaches 3,213
The death toll from the novel coronavirus climbed to 3,213, with 14 new deaths during the last 24 hours, the Chinese National Health Commission (NHC) reported on Monday.
In a statement, the Commission announced it had received 80,860 reports of confirmed cases and 3,213 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland, while 67,749 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital.
“There are still 9,898 confirmed cases, including 3,032 in serious condition,” it added.
The World Health Organization (WHO), late Sunday, reported 11 thousand new cases and 343 deaths of the pandemic (COVID-19) around the world in the last 24 hours.
Most the world’s countries have taken rapid economic measures to address the repercussions of the coronavirus on various sectors.
