The Cabinet, in a session Wednesday chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, approved the recommendations of the Settlement and Reconciliation Committee formed according to the basis for settling the outstanding issues between taxpayers and the Income and Sales Tax Department, to settle the tax conditions of 176 companies and taxpayers, who had obligations in accordance with the provisions of the Income Tax Law and the General Sales Tax Law.

The decision came upon the requests submitted by those taxpayers to the committee.

During the session, the Cabinet also decided to refer a number of ambassadors from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate to retirement, including Malek Twal, Suleiman Arabiyat, Adel Adaileh and Salah al-Suhaimat.
