Cabinet okays criteria regulating appointment in public jobs
A Cabinet session held Wednesday, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Khasawneh, approved criteria regulating appointment in ministries, public departments and government units for the fiscal year 2022.
The regulations aim to define jobs, their number, categories, titles and ranks at ministries, departments and government units, and the allocations set and specified in the laws of the general budget and the budgets of government units for 2022.
The Council of Ministers also approved the bylaw of the Agricultural and Medicinal Research Center in the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) for 2022 with the aim of establishing a center specialized in cultivation of medicinal plants.
The new body will also conduct related scientific agricultural research and pharmacological studies, in a way that contributes to upgrading level of JAF’s medical and therapeutic capabilities and enhancing their efficiency.
The Cabinet approved the mandating reasons for amendments to 2022 Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Bylaw, with the aim of identifying hazardous materials and waste, whose entry, import, storage, handling, use, or dumping in any way in the Kingdom is banned or restricted.
The bylaw also forms a specialized technical committee to regulate management of hazardous materials and waste.
In addition, the Council of Ministers approved the mandating reasons for the anti-littering draft bylaw within the borders of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) for 2022, and the draft bylaw for GAM public forests and parks for 2022.
Both bylaws align with provisions of Greater Amman Municipality Law No. (18) of 2021 AD, which entered into force, stipulating issuance of draft criteria regulating the GAM’s work
