Bosnian envoy calls for boosting economic cooperation
Amman, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Jordan, Mato Zeko, called for boosting economic cooperation, enhancing bilateral trade exchange, and increasing the number of tourists.
He said the embassy looks to Jordan as his country’s gateway to the Middle East, and Bosnia and Herzegovina as the Kingdom’s gateway to European markets.
The envoy touched on the embassy’s efforts to enhance bilateral ties on the economic and trade levels, in the framework of preparations for a business conference next November.
On visas to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeko stated that the embassy facilitated the procedures for obtaining one, adding that any applicant can get a visa within one to three business days, instead of a month.
He pointed out the importance of having direct flights linking his country with the Kingdom, which would facilitate travel, encourage investment and revamp tourism.
The envoy said talks are being held with local authorities to discuss the possibility of opening a Jordanian embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina to facilitate various measures aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
