The Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan, Eldar Salimov, affirmed his country’s keenness to continue cooperation with the Kingdom and develop bilateral relations at the cultural level, noting that Jordan is “at the forefront of countries open to other cultures.”

In press remarks on the sidelines of the Azerbaijani folk dance troupe’s participation in 2021 Jerash Festival, the diplomat said the event is “distinguished in view of the wide international and Jordanian participation, ” which represents an “integrated” mix of culture fans around the world.

The Azerbaijani embassy, in a press statement on Thursday, said the troupe participating in the festival, was founded in 1970, and reflects Azerbaijani art, its unique folklore, and beauty of national dances.

The embassy said the Azerbaijani folk dance troupe, who consists of 15 performers, performed a folkloric art show on Jerash main square stage last Tuesday, which was attended by Azerbaijani envoy, all the embassy staff and a number of Azerbaijani community in Amman.
