Australian envoy visits Al al-Bayt University

Australia’s Ambassador to Jordan, Bernard Lynch, on Wednesday visited the Al al-Bayt University and met with president, Hani Dhmour.

Dhmour lauded ties between Jordan and Australia and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides.

Ambassador Lynch met with a number of deans of faculties and professors who attended Australian universities.

The meeting covered aspects of cooperation between the Australian Embassy and Al al-Bayt University, such as the implementation of exchange programs for students and faculty members from both sides, in addition to teaching Arabic to non-native speakers and the possibility of benefiting from workshops and programs held remotely by Australian universities.

Lynch said he supports the Al al-Bayt University’s role in the educational and research process and serving the local community, as it is located next to the Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees in northern Jordan, which makes its role vital in serving the Syrian refugees and host communities by providing its research and educational services.
