Arab parliament urges Arab countries to rebuild Gaza

The Arab Parliament Saturday called on the Arab states to rebuild the Gaza Strip that had seen more than a week-long Israeli shelling and bombardment, which left the besieged exclave reeling.

The pan-Arab legislature stated in a meeting that it is following up on the developments in the Palestinian cause, describing it as a “central and pivotal cause.” It emphasized it has ramped up efforts to get in contact with international and regional organizations to realize the establishment of the two-state solution.

The Parliament praised Jordan among other countries that had contributed to brokering the ceasefire in Gaza and have supported the battered Palestinians after the devastation wrought by the Israeli forces.
