Arab League mulls over cooperation mechanism with int’l, regional organizations
The fifth meeting of the Technical Committee for Intellectual Property at the Arab League was held on Tuesday in the city of Cairo, Egypt, to discuss cooperation with international and regional organizations.
The meeting was organized by the pan-Arab organization’s Intellectual Property and Competitiveness Department and saw the participation of governmental officials representing intellectual property offices in the Arab countries.
Director of the department Minister Plenipotentiary Maha Bakheet, underscored that the meeting discussed setting cooperation mechanism with international and regional organizations pertinent to the field of orotcting property rights, and the designating of the head of the Technical Committee for Intellectual Property for a second term, in addition to following through with recommendations of the fourth meeting if the subcommittee for the right of the author and the subcommittee for the industrial property.
