Arab League calls for protecting Palestinians

Cairo, The Arab League has urged the United Nations and the Security Council to work to secure international protection for the Palestinian people and to enable them exercise their right to freedom and independence in their own state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its future capital.

The pan-Arab organization Tuesday called on all international organizations and bodies, especially the International Criminal Court (ICC), “to prosecute the Israeli occupation leaders and all extremists who committed massacres against the Palestinian people.”

The Arab League affirmed its full support for the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
