APC organizes global fertilizers conference

Amman, The Arab Potash Company (APC) on Wednesday organized a global conference on fertilizers with the participation of fertilizer specialists from Jordan, France, Belgium, China and Pakistan.

Chairman of the APC, Jamal Sarayrah, said the meeting aim to exchange ideas and opinions between experts on technologies used in the industrial and agricultural fields, including the optimal use of special and soluble fertilizers in order to sustain food production and protect the environment.

He pointed out that major fertilizer producers are shifting towards the manufacture of nutrients and fertilizers that respond to the requirements of modern agriculture and take into account environmental standards and high-value food products.

The APC chairman stressed that the company will continue to diversify the production of potash and provide inputs to local industries in a manner that contributes to environmental sustainability and the optimal use of resources.

CEO of the APC Maan Nsour said that the company always strives for excellence and constantly looks for what is new in various fields. He added that the company was able to achieve record numbers last year, in terms of production output and sales, noting that the consolidated profits of the company grew by 48 percent in the first half of the current year.
