All public hospitals to be accredited for internship
Amman, Health Minister Saad Jaber, Chairman of the Jordan Medical Council, Monday decided to accredit all the Ministry’s hospitals for training, based upon a recommendation of the council members.
Accordingly, a doctor who enters the residency program must spend six months in a sub divisional hospital and six months in a major hospital to sit the Jordanian board exam, and must show a letter stating the training venue.
Jaber said that the ministry’s chief medical specialists will be asked to prepare resident doctor transfer lists every six months in August and February of each year.
