Agreements to enable Jordanian companies to contribute to implementation of projects in Baghdad: Kisbi, 1st, final add

Ammari commended the efficiency of Jordanian companies and their cadres, saying that he looked forward to strengthening cooperation in the field of exchange of expertise, in addition to establishing and supervising projects, pointing out that two projects have been awarded to two Jordanian companies of major investment companies worth more than JD40 million.

He also commended Jordanian consulting companies’ contribution to the Mayoralty’s projects, including the 135,000-cubic-meter (R2) water tank, which serves areas north of Baghdad that are suffering from water scarcity, pointing out that the project is in the process of being awarded for implementation.

During the meeting, the work of the engineering alliance project, consisting of a group of Jordanian and Iraqi companies, which includes structural design, organizational plan, infrastructure work and design management, was awarded and will be implemented over a period of seven years.

The meeting also saw the signing of the transfer of technical support provided by a Jordanian company accredited and specialized in the field of construction contracting to provide technical support for ensuring the success of the participation contract signed with Iraqi companies within the specialties of building construction and maintenance of roads and concrete works for bridges, intersections and tunnels, water and sanitation systems, sewage purification plants, drinking water treatment, asphalt mixtures, earth works and excavations, mining and electromechanical works, renewable energy, transfer of expertise and training of cadres.
