Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi strongly condemned the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran by an extremist in Malmo, Sweden.
In a statement issued today, Al-Asoumi warned against the danger of repeating such acts that represent a persistence of religious hatred and provoke the feelings of millions of Muslims around the world.
Al-Asoumi called on the international community to act immediately to stop such repeated attacks on the Holy Quran, which fuels violence and extremism and is considered a crime against Islam, religions and humanity.
