70 extremist settlers break into Al-Aqsa Mosque

Ramallah Around 70 extremist settlers early Tuesday stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque/Haram Al Sharif in the occupied city of Jerusalem, according to a Palestinian source.

The General Director of the Islamic Awqaf and al-Aqsa Affairs, Sheikh Azzam al-Khatib, said today’s raid was carried by at least 70 settlers, who entered through Bab Al Magharbeh gate and under heavy protection of Israeli forces and police .

The settlers performed their Talmudic rituals in a provocative manner and left the holy shrine through Bab al-Silsilah, al-Khatib added.

After performing their rituals, the extremists provocatively toured the shrine creating a state of tension and anger among Muslim worshippers.
