President of Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Khaled Salem, said 29 of its faculty members joined the world’s most-cited researchers, according to newly released self-citation data.
In an interview with “Petra” on Thursday, Salem noted this achievement was announced in a scientific paper published by US Stanford University, which works to update the global standard citation index, based on information extracted from the Scopus database that was previously published in the past two years.
Salem congratulated JUST researchers for their efforts and “unrelenting” work to advance scientific research and enhance its academic ranking globally.
The university allocates more than 15 percent of its annual budget to support scientific research, Salem noted.
