170 Palestinians injured as Israeli forces attack protesters at Gaza border

Gaza, At least 170 Palestinians, including journalists and medical crews, were injured by live gunfire or suffocated from teargas inhalation, as Israeli occupation forces attacked them while participating in the fifth Friday of the ongoing Great March of Return peaceful protests at the eastern border of the Gaza Strip, according to the Ministry of Health.

A number of Palestinians were injured as Israeli forces fired live shots at the protesters who were demonstrating peacefully in various locations across the eastern border of the Gaza Strip, Spokesman of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qudrah said.

The forces also fired teargas canisters at the protesters, causing many cases of suffocation from teargas inhalation.

Today’s demonstrations are titled the “Friday of Rebellious Youth,” and the organizers said the they were dedicated to honor the 40 protesters who have been fatally shot by Israeli occupation forces since the outbreak of protests on March 30.
